Denice Zamboanga set to fight Watsapinya Kaewkhong in Bangkok

August 25 ------ UNDEFEATED Filipina fighter Denice Zamboanga will get her wish to return to the cage as she faces Watsapinya “Dream Girl” Kaewkhong in One: A New Breed on Friday in Bangkok. "I’m very happy to be competing once more, because it’s been awhile since I last fought, so I’m grateful to be a part of this card in Thailand," she said.

Currently staying in Thailand, Zamboanga is has a 7-0 fight record. The 23-year-old is coming off a sensational unanimous decision victory over Mei Yamaguchi in February. Zamboanga is not the only Filipino in the Bangkok card.

Her brother, URCC bantamweight champion Drex Zamboanga, will make his One debut against Detchadin Sornsirisuphathin. "Aside from actively competing once more, what makes me really happy is I’ll be fighting alongside my brother on the same card," she said. KC Carlos takes on Wondergirl Fairtex in a strawweight Muay Thai match.
