Daniel Padilla receives ’Outstanding Asian Star’ award at Seoul International Drama Awards 2025

MANILA, Philippines, October 3 ------ Daniel Padilla officially received the “Outstanding Asian Star” award at the 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards on Thursday for his performance in Kapamilya action drama series "Incognito." Held at the KBS Hall in Seoul, Padilla walked the red carpet in an all-black suit and eyewear.
In his speech, Padilla said, “Good evening, everyone. First and foremost, thank you, Lord. I'm truly honored to be here tonight to receive this award. Thank you so much, Seoul International Drama Awards, for this recognition.” “I want to thank ‘Incognito’ and Star Creatives family, Ms. Des De Guzman, our directors Lester Pimentel, Wang Yan Bin, and Ian Loreños. I also want to thank my co-stars Ian Veneracion, Richard Gutierrez, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, and Kaila Estrada, our stunt team from Action 360, our tactical instructors Benjo Ramos and Patch Caballero, our Star Magic family, and home network ABS-CBN,” he continued.
“I also want to thank my friends and family for their endless support and unconditional love. Mama, I made it. And to all my fans and supporters, thank you for your continued support and unwavering love. Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit ako nandito, maraming salamat. Kamsahamnida, mabuhay ang Pilipinas at mabuhay ang mga Pilipino. Have a wonderful night, everyone,” he ended.
Other recipients of the Outstanding Asian Star award were South Korean stars Kim Seon Ho of “The Tyrant” and Jisoo of “Newtopia,” Sakaguchi Kentaro of “What Comes After Love” from Japan, Bai Yu of “Bank on Me” from China, Film Rachanun Mahawan of “Pluto” from Thailand and Anna Jobling of “Dear Love” from Malaysia. South Korean stars IU and Ju Ji-hoon won Best Actress and Best Actor for “When Life Gives You Tangerines” and “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” respectively.
The Golden Bird Prize went to Ben Stiller for the American thriller series "Severance," while the Grand Prize (Daesang) was awarded to the British drama series "Adolescence." Seoul International Drama Awards honor excellence in television drama productions worldwide. This year’s ceremony featured 276 entries from 50 countries.
