Chito Miranda grieves over death of father Alfonso

August 15 ------ Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda has paid tribute to his father Alfonso Miranda, who passed away recently.

The musician revealed his father’s death while showing a photo of Alfonso and his urn on his Instagram page. Alfonso was 77 years old. “Bye, Dad! Love you! To all our family and friends, we decided to keep everything simple and intimate. Immediate family lang talaga,” Chito said. “Hope you guys understand. Prayers lang, oks na.”

Singer Gary Valenciano, vlogger Slater Young and actress Kaye Abad were among those who extended their condolences to Chito and his family. “Love you Chito. I am so sorry to hear about this. I pray that God embraces you and keeps you close to His heart,” Valenciano told Chito.

Chito is one of the judges in the reality talent competition “Idol Philippines.” He appears on the show alongside fellow judges Valenciano, Regine Velasquez and Moira Dela Torre.
