Ben&Ben, Maymay Entrata, more PH artists eye 2027 Grammy nominations

October 16 ------ Several Filipino artists, including Ben&Ben and Maymay Entrata, are vying for a spot in the 2027 Grammy race as they submitted their respective entries for consideration.

The folk-pop band is eyeing for nomination in the Best Pop Group/Duo Performance with the reimagined version of their hit song “Leaves.” “Suntok sa buwan, imposibleng pangarap, pero susubok pa rin! Salamat sa paglipad kasama namin, Liwanag,” the group said on its social media pages, addressing their fans.

Entrata’s song “Masunog Man” was submitted for consideration in the Best Asian Pop Music Performance category.

“Woaaaah! Maraming salamat po!” she said. “This song is very personal to me because it represents the grief I felt after my mom passed away.” “This makes me feel so seen. MARAMING SALAMAT PO for even the thought of considering our song, ‘Masunog Man,’ for this incredible recognition!” she added. “Kasabay sa alon, bandera ng OPM ay babangon!”

Other Filipino artists seeking the prestigious recognition include “Idol Philippines” season 2 winner Khimo Gumatay, ABS-CBN artist Carmelle Collado and Showtime Baby Dolls, who all submitted for the Best Asian Pop Music Performance category.
