Alex Eala to face Arianne Hartono in main draw of W100 Bengaluru

MANILA, January 21 ------ Filipina tennis star Alex Eala is up for a challenging task in the W100 Bengaluru Main Draw. The youthful Eala will be facing Arianne Hartono of The Netherlands in the India tournament which will be held from January 20 to 26.

The 19-year-old recently moved up to her career-high No. 136 in the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) rankings, and she is looking to bank on this development when she faces the 28-year-old, No. 163-ranked Hartono. The two players will be going head-to-head in the women's singles tournament for their first match in the main draw, whose first day is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 21.

Eala, who was previously at No. 143 earlier this month, will be looking to bounce back following her 7-5, 6-2 loss against Croatia’s Jana Fett in the Australian Open Qualifiers.
