Alex Eala begins Singapore Tennis Open run against Tatiana Prozorova

September 24 ------ Alexandra “Alex” Eala will begin her Singapore Tennis Open campaign tonight against Tatiana Prozorova.

Eala, who said she “feels at home” in Singapore, will start her campaign in the Round of 16 after earning a first-round bye. Prozorova, meanwhile, defeated Sofia Costoulas in the opening round to earn a matchup against the world No. 18.

The Singapore Tennis Open marks the start of Eala’s Asian swing, with several tournaments lined up for the Filipina, including the Asian Games and the Hong Kong Tennis Open. Eala last competed earlier this month in New York, where she reached the Round of 16 before falling to Iva Jovic.
