Alas Pilipinas sweeps Australia, concludes pool phase with 2 wins

July 2 ------ Alas Pilipinas has clinched its second straight win at the VTV Cup 2025 in Vietnam. This, as the Nationals made quick work of Australia, 25-13, 25-15, 25-20, concluding pool phase with a 2-1 scorecard.

The triumph came a day after they vented their frustrations on Chinese club Sichuan in four sets, 25-12, 25-22, 19-25, 25-15. With the win, the national team proceeds to the quarterfinals on a high, set to face Thailand's Est Cola.

Embracing a dominant opening set win, Alas women made sure there would be no let-ups in the next frames, as they finally wrapped things up with an Amie Provido kill block in the end.
