MANILA, July 24 ------ Now that the "BINIverse" tour in the Philippines has ended, the Nation's Girl Group is gearing up for their trip to North America this weekend. First up is the KCON LA 2024 on July 27, where BINI will perform in the pre-show in Los Angeles, California. There is also initial information that they will appear during a "meet and greet" session.
"Sobrang exciting. We are going to be performing on a stage where a lot of K-pop groups will be performing in," said BINI Mikha. BINI Stacey expressed her hope that there will be plenty of US-based Blooms to watch them, while BINI Colet wants to meet the K-pop group Enhyphen. After KCON LA, BINI will then join some TFC-initiated events in California before the much-awaited "ASAP in California" in Ontario. They will have a few more events and recording sessions in between before they fly to Vancouver for the first stop of "BINIverse" in Canada.
As they prepare for another long trip, the BINI members first attended a thanksgiving mass at the ABS-CBN chapel on Tuesday, officiated by Father Tito Caluag. Their families were present at the mass along with ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak, COO Cory Vidanes, Star Magic Head Laurenti Dyogi and other Kapamilya executives. "We are thankful for our life. Yung mga chances and success na pinagdarasal lang namin noon and nangyayari na siya ngayon," said BINI Maloi. "Thankful din po kami sa mga tao sa paligid namin -- Blooms and management," added BINI Sheena.
-- No signs of stopping --
BINI's rise has shown no signs of stopping, and the most recent proof of their popularity has been the scramble for photo cards from their fast food chain endorsement. There are videos on social media of children crying after getting the photo cards of their biases, and even groups of men swapping and trying their luck with the PCs. Of course, there are hardcore Blooms who are determined to complete all photo cards. BINI Stacey, in particular, has emerged as the favorite among the kids. "Feeling ko sa sobrang kakikayan ko, yun talaga ang market ko mga bata. Naiiyak talaga sila pag hindi nakukuha yung photo card ko," she said. "Kaya ang ginagawa ko na lang ni-re-replyan ko na lang sila sa tiktok, sa X, para nababasa ng mga mommy nila." Their latest hit is rapidly reaching milestones, too: the music video for "Cherry on Top" has just registered 10-million views on YouTube.
