MANILA, January 7 ------ Several professional volleyball players have parted ways with their original squads just before the 2026 season of the Premier Volleyball League. Some of them have already found their new homes.
Leading the wild offseason was Eya Laure, who has been officially signed by the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, a year after leaving the now-defunct Chery Tiggo Crossovers. Laure joined the returning Caitlin Viray, Alina Bicar, and Jai Atienza, and is expected to share the taraflex with fellow University of Santo Tomas product and SEA Games gold medalist Sisi Rondina.
While Choco Mucho upped its acquisitions, it also bid farewell to multiple players: Royse Tubino, Bia General, Cherry Nunag, and Aduke Ogunsanya. The Strong Group Athletics management also amassed the services of multiple players, and they are either suiting up for the Farm Fresh Foxies or the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles.
After leading Petro Gazz in the last four years, the latest being a chip in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, veteran Remy Palma has parted ways with the team and is set to join SGA as a playing assistant coach, as announced by the squad. Also departing Petro Gazz are Joy Dacoron, Blove Barbon, and Chie Saet, who will join Palma in the SGA nest, marking a new chapter in her career after a seven-year run with the Angels.
The aforementioned players from the Flying Titans, Tubino, and General, as well as Imee Hernandez from the Crossovers, have also joined the SGA umbrella. Meanwhile, Atienza, Lycha Ebon, Maji Mangulabnan, Rachel Jorvina, and Jaja Maraguinot have exited the Nxled Chameleons. In a bid to reclaim the PVL mountaintop, Creamline also saw departures, as Jema Galanza's sister Mafe Galanza bid the team goodbye, together with seasoned players Pau Soriano, Rizza Mandapat, and Mich Morente.
