MANILA, Philippines, January 16 ------ Host-actress Kris Aquino is recovering following a minor operation as part of her treatment for several autoimmune diseases. "The Queen of All Media" shared what she dubbed a "short post" on Instagram, a picture of herself in the operating room as she expressed gratitude for everyone's prayers. Kris said she was initially going to have a minor PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) line procedure, where a tube is inserted into a vein leading to the heart.

However, the host-actress shared that there were two minutes during the procedure where she stopped breathing as her lungs stopped functioning. The encounter prompted Kris to thank her anesthesiologist, two surgeons, and a rheumatologist. However, the host-actress shared that there were two minutes during the procedure where she stopped breathing as her lungs stopped functioning. The encounter prompted Kris to thank her anesthesiologist, two surgeons, and a rheumatologist. "In my post-op recovery room, it was future pediatrician/neurologist/or anesthesiologist Bimb's kiss that made me realize we owe all of you my life — utang namin na buhay pa rin ako, the Holy Spirit guided my doctors and everyone in the OR (operating room)," said Kris. The host-actress ended her health update with lyrics from the Beatles' "Let It Be."

In a previous Instagram post, Kris confirmed that the operation was delayed because her blood pressure shot up due to a migraine. "Kuya was shaking and automatically grabbed Bimb's hand," Kris said about her older son, Josh. "I did something right in making sure Bimb grew up knowing he'll be responsible for his Kuya. And kuya feels secure with Bimb." For the last couple of years, Kris has been battling a number of autoimmune diseases, rarely going out in public or posting on social media due to her health condition.
