MANILA, December 2 ------ "Star for All Seasons" Vilma Santos-Recto added another milestone to her illustrious career as she clinched the Best Actress trophy at the 41st PMPC Star Awards for Movies. She received her 10th Best Actress award from the body for the movie "Uninvited."

In her acceptance, the veteran actress expressed how deeply meaningful the recognition remains to her even after decades in the industry. “Definitely, I feel so, so happy. Every time nabibigyan ka ng pagkilala, it’s a different high kasi kahit papaano na-acknowledge na you did something good. So sa PMPC, maraming maraming salamat sa tiwala,” she said.

Santos-Recto was also asked about growing calls for her to be named a National Artist — an honor many fans and film enthusiasts strongly believe she deserves. The multi-awarded actress, however, remained humble and composed. “I don’t want to comment on that. With all the blessings that I’m getting, I’m very, very thankful already. I’m not aiming for anything. I just want to thank God for all the blessings,” she said.

As for what’s next in her career, Vilma teased fans with exciting news about an upcoming project. “Soon! May hinahanda and I think maganda yung movie. Pero sasabihin ko na lang pag it’s final already. But looking forward to doing that movie — maganda!” she shared with a smile. When pressed if the project is an international film, she laughed and answered briefly: “Medyo.”
