TNT grand champion Carmelle Collado graduates with honors from senior high school

May 2 ------ The singer recently graduated from senior high school at King Thomas Learning Academy in Camarines Sur, proudly finishing with honors. Polaris, her talent agency, shared snapshots of Carmelle adorned with medals and holding her certificates. 

Fans online were quick to extend their congratulator messages to the singer. "CONGRATULATIONS on your graduating with honors, Carmelle Collado! We are amazed on how you managed to juggle your rising career and studies. And excel at both! Way to go!," her fan group Carmellenatics Global posted on social media. 

Carmelle made history earlier this year as the first-ever grand champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown. In a recent interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the singer shared that she is still absorbing the many changes that happened in her life following her win. “I’m happy and at the same time, parang fresh pa lang yung kakapanalo ko, even though ilang months na rin po yun. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala especially like ngayon na nasa ABS-CBN Ball ako and first time ko sa ball. And nakikita ko yung mga bosses at iba’t ibang mga artista and I’m really happy kasi grabe yung pag-welcome nila sa akin," she stated. 

When it comes to her career, Carmelle shared that she’s currently focused on further honing her skills as a performer, but she’s also open to exploring acting in the future. "For now, focus muna ako sa sing and dance. Kasi marunong ako sumayaw pero hindi ako ganun kagaling talaga. So I really need to work on that. Gusto ko ipagsabay yung sing and dance and then after nun gusto ko mag-acting din,” she shared. 

On the artists with whom she dreams to collaborate, Carmelle relayed: "Ang top three ko talaga si Sarah Geronimo, Coach Bamboo, and BINI." She went on: "Sa mga music genres, gusto ko rin mag-explore. Meron kasi akong mga songs na gusto kong i-try pero parang kapag kinanta ko na siya, alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ko pa kaya. Pero gusto ko yung genre na fast song na may rap."
