Three Chinese astronauts arrive on Earth following their six months space voyage

April 18 ------ Rivalling the space missions of the United States, the Shenzou-13 spacecraft was launched from Beijing, China to build the country's very first permanent space station, the "Tiangong", roughly translated as the "Heavenly Place." The crew consisted of two men and one woman, Zhai Zhigang, Ye Guangfu and Wang Yaping, who joyfully exited the capsule while they were carried by a group who put them into specially designed chairs.

The three resided in space for 183 days from China's northwestern Gobi desert on October of the year 2021 as the second of four missions China has sent into space during 2021-2022. The mission was initiated last October when the spacecraft was launched, where Wang became the very first Chinese woman to spacewalk in history. Zhai was the leader of the three, who was also a former fighter pilot and the first person to spacewalk from China on 2008, whilst Ye was a People's Liberation Army Pilot.

The team spent their time doing scientific experiments, testing technologies, preparing facilities and equipment for the cabin of the next planned voyage, the Shenzhou-14, predicted to launch in the near future.
