Thirdy, San-En NeoPhoenix continue to roll ahead of B.League playoffs




April 30 ------ VICTORIES were aplenty for Pinoy ballers in the 2023-24 Japan B.League, with four out of five players who saw action tasting wins. Thirdy Ravena’s 18 points led San-En NeoPhoenix to a 103-80 win over Toyama Grouses at Toyohashi City Gymnasium. He also had seven assists, five rebounds, and four steals for the Central Conference champions, which improved to 46-12.

 

Ray Parks contributed for the playoff-bound Nagoya Diamond Dolphins in their 86-79 sweep of Ryukyu Golden Kings at Dolphins Arena. He tallied six points, five rebounds, and two assists as Nagoya rose to 39-19, one game behind Ryukyu in the battle for the top seed in the West Conference - and home court advantage in the postseason.

 

Matthew Wright also was solid in Kyoto Hannaryz’ 77-75 redemption over Fighting Eagles Nagoya at Nagoyashi Inae Sports Center. The Fil-Canadian shooter nabbed seven points, two rebounds, and one assist to improve to 16-42. RJ Abarrientos also suited up in Shinshu Brave Warriors’ 83-56 blowout of Yokohama B-Corsairs at White Ring Arena. He collected five points, four assists, three rebounds, and one steal as Shinshu finally made it to double figures in wins with its 10-48 record.

 

Kai Sotto, on the other hand, had 11 points, four boards, and one assist as Yokohama slipped to 23-36.
