Thirdy's San-En, Parks' Nagoya on a roll; Kai's team loses




April 8 ------ THIRDY Ravena and the San-En NeoPhoenix continued to steamroll the competition, repeating over Osaka Evessa, 101-81, in the 2023-24 Japan B.League season at Toyohashi City Gymnasium on Sunday. The Filipino guard only had six points, two assists, and one rebound, but was enough to help San-En extend its win streak to three to go up 40-10.


Ray Parks also dropped 10 points, three boards, and two dimes in Nagoya Diamond Dolphins’ 88-79 conquest of Saga Ballooners at Dolphins Arena for their fifth straight win and improve to 33-17.


Ibaraki Robots also got back at Kai Sotto’s Yokohama B-Corsairs, 95-94, at Adastria Mito Arena despite the Filipino center’s 10 points and one rebound. Yokohama fell to a 23-27 record.


Matthew Wright also could not stop Kyoto Hannaryz’ nine-game losing skid as they absorbed an 88-81 loss to SunRockers Shibuya at Aoyama Gakuin Memorial Hall. He had 11 points, four boards, and two assists to drop to 13-37.


Levanga Hokkaido, meanwhile, dropped four of its last five games after an 86-65 setback to Nagasaki Velca at Hokkai Kitayell. Dwight Ramos only had nine points, six assists, and two rebounds as Hokkaido sunk to 14-36.


RJ Abarrientos was not fielded in Shinshu Brave Warriors’ 89-85 defeat to Gunma Crane Thunders at Openhouse Arena Ota as they stumbled to their 18th straight loss to fall to 6-44.


Over in B2, Roosevelt Adams helped Yamagata Wyverns rout Niigata Albirex BB, 84-59, at Yamagata Prefectural Sports Park. He collected eight points and 11 rebounds off the bench to push his side’s standing to 29-27.
