October 18 ------ Fashion designer Louis Pangilinan has etched his mark on the beauty pageant industry, not just on the national stage, but in the international arena as well. And his global impact has further expanded in the recent Miss Globe competition.

The international pageant has been tapping the Laguna-based designer to provide gowns and other dresses for the semifinalists in the past years, but it was only in the recently concluded 2025 edition that he was invited to the judging panel. “As a Filipino, this is a testament and a true story of a ‘once a dream, now a reality’ moment. It feels like not only my dreams were fulfilled, but every great dreamer’s dream out there,” Pangilinan told Inquirer Entertainment.

The “world final” of the 2025 Miss Globe pageant was held in Tirana, Albania, on Oct. 15 (16 in Manila), with Chayathanus Saradatta posting Thailand’s first win. The Philippines’ Annabelle McDonnell finished in the Top 11 and topped the “Head-to-Head” Challenge. “I’m glad that I’ve been designing for The Miss Globe for five consecutive years. I’m just grateful for the whole organization of The Miss Globe for trusting me every single year. I hope they continue to believe in my visions and designs,” Pangilinan shared. “I’m looking forward to watching the pageant live ever since. It’s just overwhelming that I’m not only watching, I’m also invited as one of the chosen judges in one of the most prestigious pageants in the world while being the official designer as well,” he added.

For this year’s competition, Pangilinan made the gold-themed short dresses paraded by the 21 semifinalists. He also debuted his “Passion and Power” collection on stage, a series of black and red gowns that the Top 11 delegates showcased. The Filipino designer also made the gowns that the five top finishers will be wearing to their official photoshoot, which includes Chayathanus’ runners-up from Albania, the United States, Belgium, and Cuba.
