MANILA, Philippines, July 22 ------ Food Delivery: Fresh From the West Philippine Sea is making its Philippine premiere this July, the documentary’s producer Voyage Studios. The one-day screening will be held on July 27, 7 pm, at the Cinema 7 Dolby Atmos R3 at the Power Plant Mall in Makati City.

Those who are interested in catching the documentary can register through this link for a chance to claim two free premiere tickets. As slots are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, Voyage Studios urges moviegoers to fill out the form promptly.

The Philippine premiere of the Baby Ruth Villarama-directed documentary comes just days after the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) granted the documentary an exhibition permit and approved it for public viewing.

The film had won the Tides of Change award at New Zealand’s Doc Edge Festival in early July, months after it had been pulled from the lineup of Puregold Cinepanalo 2025. The New Zealand film festival’s organizers confirmed that China had tried to bar them from screening the documentary, but they refused, citing their “independence and curatorial freedom.”

Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea follows the struggles of Filipino fisherfolk, the Philippine Coast Guard, as well as some Navy personnel, in delivering food and aid to communities, all while defending the tensions that arise in the waters. It also highlights the journey of brave fisherman Arnel Satam, who had been tailed by the China Coast Guard near Scarborough Shoal.
