'Stranger Things' resumes filming for season 4

October 5 ------ Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, production for season 4 of Stranger Things is now officially back on track, as confirmed by Netflix on Friday, October 2. "Today in Hawkins..." Netflix tweeted, alongside a photo of a clapperboard and a clock. The official Twitter account of Stranger Things also tweeted the same photo, with the caption: "meanwhile in the upside down..."

An official release date for the 4th season has yet to be confirmed. The Stranger Things team was only a month into production when the coronavirus outbreak first hit in March, which caused a halt in movie and film productions in the US. The new season's first teaser trailer premiered on February 2020, where fans' speculations that Hopper died at the end of season 3 were rebutted (thankfully). Netflix renewed Stranger Things for a 4th season in September 2019.
