December 13 ------ Star Magic talent takes over the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival with a slate of projects that spans horror, romance, comedy, and character-driven drama — an unmistakable presence across this year’s holiday box-office race.

Regal Entertainment’s iconic “Shake, Rattle & Roll” returns with a fresh roster of emerging and established names. Ivana Alawi, JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith, Dylan Yturralde, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Karina Bautista, Angelica Lao, Raven Rigor, Loisa Andalio, Kaila Estrada, and Richard Gutierrez front the latest chapter of the long-running horror anthology. The new installment promises inventive scares and a cinematic experience designed for festive-season thrills.

Drama and emotional resonance take center stage in “Call Me Mother,” led by Brent Manalo, River Joseph, Esnyr, Klarisse de Guzman, Lucas Andalio, and John “Sweet” Lapus. The film examines modern expressions of motherhood, the bonds that shape families, and the complicated dynamics that define love and belonging.

Timely storytelling grounds “Rekonek,” topbilled by Gerald Anderson, Bela Padilla, and Charlie Dizon. Singer-songwriter SAB contributes the film’s original soundtrack, adding a personal touch to this alternative holiday narrative about connection, second chances, and the unexpected ways relationships evolve during the Christmas rush.

The festival also brings back familiar faces in “Bar Boys: After School,” with Klarisse de Guzman, Emilio Daez, and Benedix Ramos joining the ensemble for this follow-through chapter that picks up the threads of friendship, ambition, and the realities that come after graduation.

Zaijian Jaranilla takes on a reflective lead role in Nathan Studio’s “I’mPerfect,” a coming-of-age story that navigates self-worth and the quiet work of embracing one’s flaws. Relationships and reinvention come into focus in “Unmarry,” featuring Angelica Panganiban, Kaladkaren, and Zanjoe Marudo. Produced by Quantum Films and CineKo Productions, the film offers a mix of wit and introspection—ideal for viewers seeking stories about starting over during the holiday break.

Rounding out the MMFF lineup is “Love You So Bad,” a co-production of Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment. Starring Xyriel Manabat, Reign Parani, Zach Castaneda, Ralph de Leon, Desiree del Valle, and Bianca de Vera, the film is positioned as one of the season’s most anticipated romances, blending youthful energy with a storyline built for wide appeal.

Across genres and studios, Star Magic artists shape some of the festival’s most talked-about titles. From breakout performers to seasoned names, their presence underscores a continuing legacy — one defined by versatility, consistency, and the enduring imprint of Star Magic on Philippine entertainment.
