March 18 ------ SB19 — composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin — has been confirmed as one of the performers of Lollapalooza 2026, making them the first Filipino group to grace the music festival.

The four-day event will take place at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, from July 30 to August 2. Further details on SB19’s setlist and how long their performance have yet to be announced.

SB19 also announced the news on their social media platforms. “Surprise A’TIN! We’re so thrilled to announce that we’ll be performing on the Lollapalooza stage in 2026! Can’t wait to see you, Chicago,” they said.

Headlining the international music festival are Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde, Olivia Dean, John Summit, Jennie of Blackpink, The XX, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Also part of Lollapalooza 2026 are Beabadoobee (who is also of Filipino descent as well), aespa, Zara Larsson, CORTIS, and 5 Seconds of Summer, among many others.

Prior to Lollapalooza, SB19 has been building up their performance portfolio on the international stage, where they performed at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) and ACON 2025, the latter of which was part of the 10th anniversary of the awards ceremony.

The growing number of Filipino acts being recognized on the global stage has been apparent since last year, with fellow P-pop powerhouse BINI set to perform at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival this coming April.

Meanwhile, Sophia Laforteza — leader of global girl group KATSEYE — has been a favorite of fans whenever they perform in events, with many noting her strong live vocal prowess.
