December 10 ------ Not even a back-to-back concert in Australia can stop SB19 from setting the Asia Artist Awards (AAA)’s ACON 2025 stage on fire in Taiwan.
The P-pop powerhouse — composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin — was fresh from the Melbourne and Sydney legs of their “Simula at Wakas” tour, as they went straight to Kaohsiung National Stadium in Zuoying district, Taiwan for ACON 2025 on Sunday, December 7.
Donning outfits with hints of denim and shades of grey, black, and white, SB19 performed a 20-minute set composed of “DAM,” “8TonBall,” “DUNGKA!”, and “Crimzone.” They were also accompanied by dance group W3.
The group took to their X (formerly Twitter) page to celebrate the milestone. “ACON 2025, did you guys enjoy our stage tonight? We’re finally back in Taiwan, and this time, we get to meet you in Kaohsiung. You had our hearts racing all over again, and we hope we gave you a good time as we performed onstage,” they wrote. Before the festival took place, SB19 (along with other acts) treated VIP fans to a soundcheck performance where they sang their smash hit “Gento.”
SB19 — who is set to cap off their world tour in New Zealand — is the only Filipino act to perform at the event. They graced the AAA’s 2023 edition at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, where they performed a medley of their hit songs. Other performers at ACON 2025 were AHOF, Ash Island, ATEEZ, Cravity, KickFlip, KiiiKiii, Kiss of Life, Lee Jun-young, Nexz, Yena, Woodz, QWER, and Xikers. The festival was hosted by i-dle’s Shuhua, Lee Jun-young, KiiiKiii’s Sui, and Cravity’s Allen.
The standouts at the festival were ATEEZ, who took the stage in prince-like outfits while singing “Bouncy (K-Hot Chili Peppers),” “Ice on my Teeth,” “Work,” “In Your Fantasy,” and “The Real,” as well as Cravity, Woodz, Yena, and Kiss of Life, the latter of which managed to pull off a fiery stage despite the absence of their main dancer Natty. ACON 2025 is a festival organized by the Asia Artist Awards to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The first part of the awards ceremony took place last December 6 at the same venue.
