August 22 ------ Kapamilya star Robi Domingo continues to be a Kapamilya as he inked another contract with ABS-CBN at the Dolphy Theater. He expressed how grateful he is as he enters his 17th year in the showbiz industry and still continues with the same network since day one.
The Pinoy Big Brother host admitted that he couldn’t believe how fast it’s been since he started with the Kapamilya network. Joining as a housemate in PBB back in 2008, Robi’s career has since then flourished– hosting several reality programs and even diving into some acting and dancing gigs. He recalled how he saw fellow PBB batchmate, Ejay Falcon, prior to his contract renewal with ABS-CBN. Robi ended up as the runner-up while Ejay won the season.
“I saw our former Big Winner, Ejay Falcon, so it reminded me of what happened during our batch. Grabe andami na nangyari sa buhay nati,n but we always come back to that moment when we were housemates inside the Big Brother house back in 2008. It brought so much joy para sa amin. Now, iba na yung roles namin sa buhay, but the memories are gonna be there forever,” he recalled.
When asked about how important loyalty is for him, the Kapamilya star shared that it goes beyond work. “Not just in my line of work, but also personal. Especially when I got married, loyalty is one of the things that I value,” he expressed.
Robi maintained that the values that ABS-CBN has are aligned with his personal beliefs as well, which is a huge factor in why he remained loyal to the Kapamilya network. “To me, all the more reason that you become loyal is because you believe in the values of what you’re part of… To stay with ABS-CBN is one thing, but to believe in its core and its commitment to be in the service of the Filipino is another,” he explained.
The Kapamilya star maintained that the passion he has when it comes to working is what he sees in the other ABS-CBN workers and stars who remained with the network even after the shutdown. “Yung passion na 'to, especially with after everything ABS-CBN has gone through, especially after shutdown and the pandemic, I hope and I feel like most of the people who stayed, ganun yung gigil yung grit na maibalik yung ABS-CBN where it's supposed to be,” he ended.
