RODRIGUEZ, RIZAL, February 9 ------ Nxled turned back Capital1 in straight sets, 25-18, 28-26, 25-18, to secure its second win in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the Ynares Center Montalban.

The Chameleons are now 2-0 in the tournament while dealing the Solar Spikers' first loss, sliding to 1-1 record. "Actually, I'm very happy na nakuha namin 'yung straight sets. And of course, nakita natin nung first two sets nag-struggle kami konti, but 'yun nga, parang naging patient lang inside the court na one point at a time," said rookie Lyann de Guzman, who had an impressive night with 13 points. "Sabi nga ni coach [Ettore Guidetti], we need to stick sa system niya, so 'yun," she added.

The Solar Spikers threatened the Chameleons into tying the match at 1-1, but the Ettore Guidetti-coached squad stayed firm in its resolve in Set 2. Capital1 reached set point twice at 25-24 and 26-25, but Brooke Van Sickle saved her side as she nailed an into-the-block hit that equalized the count at 26-all. The three-time MVP then denied Sydney Niegos on the net, and Pauline Gaston was found reaching beyond, conceding the frame to the Chameleons. With the momentum on their side, Van Sickle and company cruised past their rivals in Set 3, finishing the match in one hour and 37 minutes. "We are in the beginning of the season, it’s only the second match, it’s a roller coaster for everyone. But at the same time, we know that we have a big target on us," said Guidetti. "So for everyone, it’s a kind of boost to play against us. Today, Capital1 played a really good game, so we struggled in the side out."

Van Sickle and Myla Pablo had 15 points each, MJ Phillips had 10, while it was Djanel Cheng who pulled the strings with 13 excellent sets. Meanwhile, Bella Belen's 23-point output was down the drain, as the Solar Spikers stumbled in just the second game of the all-Pinoy tilt.
