August 3 ------ THE PVL will go full swing on August with the 2025 Invitational Conference starting Aug. 19 running all the way to the 31st. As per the league's website, this year’s Invitationals will run as a 12-day mini-tournament featuring six teams commencing just two days after the PVL on Tour finale.
Two yet-to-be named guest teams are set to bolster the playing field along with the four PVL on Tour semifinalists. There have also been speculations on the possibility of Alas Pilipinas joining the Invitational Conference after the national team’s aborted entry years ago, yet to be confirmed or denied by the PVL and the national team. Games will take place at the league’s traditional home court at the Philsports Arena, with the last three game days slated at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Meanwhile, the league’s preseason tournament will enter its home stretch starting Aug. 1. Day 1 of two knockout round game days heads to Dasmariñas, Cavite — the last provincial stop of the tour — where Farm Fresh faces Capital1 and Chery Tiggo takes on Galeries Tower to become the fifth and sixth preseason quarterfinalists. The final knockout matches and the quarterfinals will be at the Philsports Arena.
Semis action continues at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Aug. 12 before the finals and bronze-medal game on Aug. 17 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
