MANILA, May 16 ------ Capital1 acquired additional offensive threats, signing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Most Valuable Players Vanie Gandler and Erika Santos to its roster. The Solar Spikers revealed their newly acquired players at the Gameville Ball Park in Mandaluyong City. Also joining the squad is former Nxled playmaker and free agent Jaja Maraguinot.

Welcoming Gandler, Santos, and Maraguinot to the team were Capital1 owner Milka Romero, franchise player Bella Belen, as well as captain Roma Mae Doromal, Ponggay Gaston, and Leila Cruz. “I wanted to join a team na I’m not just a missing piece, I wanted to be there to build a team with them, to help them write a story,” said Gandler, 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference MVP. “Siyempre grateful po sa opportunity na binigay sa ’min since ‘yun nga, ‘yung Capital1 alam naman natin na competitive din lalo na with Bella (Belen). Sobrang grateful lang po kami sa opportunity,” said Santos, 2025 On Tour MVP.

Gandler and Santos were coming from a breakout run with Cignal, before the team took a leave of absence from the league. The Super Spikers finished with a silver medal after putting up a fight against powerhouse Creamline in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference. For their part, the Solar Spikers are seeking a better result after a ninth-place finish in the same conference, this time with Gandler, Santos, and Belen at the helm.
