PH’s Khevin Yu bags gold in Asia Disc Golf Open

January 20 ------ Khevin Yu brought pride to the Philippines after winning gold in the Mixed Amateur Division 2 of the 2026 Asia Disc Golf Open, part of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) Asia Tour, held in Taiwan.


Yu, who holds a current PDGA rating of 910, finished with a total score of 206 (+17). He posted identical scores of 71 in Rounds 1 and 2 before closing strong with a 64 in Round 3. Cheng-Jun Li (850) placed second with 209, while Bo Cheng Chen rounded out the podium with 214.


On the other hand, other bets of the country also made waves in their respective divisions. Kira Roberts placed third with 191 points (+5) in Mixed Amateur 3, Chardfaith Sedeste also finished at third-place in the Women’s Amateur 2 with 219 points (+33), while Christian Fernando finished seventh in the Mixed Pro Open with 188. Meanwhile, up next for Yu, who has now recorded three wins in 21 career events, is the Lipad Pilipinas IV – PDGA Asia Tour 5, scheduled from February 27 to March 1 in San Jose, Tarlac.


Joining him and Fernando in the Mixed Pro Open are fellow Filipinos Samuel Sulit and Raden Bagaloyos, along with Americans Joey Bruno and Jackson Proctor.
