MANILA, April 16 ------ Converge finally regained its winning ways. The FiberXers snapped a five-game skid with a dominant 103–82 victory over Titan Ultra Giant Risers in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The FiberXers leaned on balanced performances from Justin Arana, Juan Gomez de Liaño, and Calvin Abueva to return to the win column. Abueva got the last laugh against his former team, finishing with 14 points and five rebounds. Arana led the charge with 19 points on an efficient 9-of-11 shooting clip, along with two rebounds and three assists. Gomez de Liaño added 15 points and seven rebounds, making his presence felt in the FiberXers’ 21-point rout.
Converge seized control early, taking a 57–41 lead at halftime and never looking back. The advantage ballooned to as many as 22 points, highlighted by a commanding 95–73 cushion in the final period. Meanwhile, import Earl Gilmore paced the losing side with 26 points and 16 rebounds, as the Giant Risers absorbed their fourth defeat of the conference.
