‘Pangarap talaga namin’: Ben&Ben nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act at 2020 MTV EMAs

October 8 ------ Ben&Ben took to Twitter to seek support from fans as the acclaimed OPM group was nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act at the 2020 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs). On Tuesday, October 6, MTV Asia officially announced that Ben&Ben will be joining five other artists in the Southeast Asia Act category at this year’s MTV EMAs. These artists include Agnez Mo (Indonesia), Benjamin Kheng (Singapore), K-Clique (Malaysia), Jack (Vietnam), and Violette Wautier (Thailand).

Considered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Ben&Ben sought the support of fans to help them snag the award through online voting which started last October 6th and ends on Tuesday, November 3. “Hello! nominated tayo bilang BEST SOUTHEAST ASIA ACT sa MTV EMA 2020. Pangarap talaga naming umabot tayo at yung music ng Ben&Ben sa iba't ibang part ng mundo at super makakatulong itong once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if mapanalunan natin ’to,” Ben&Ben wrote in a tweet. The group added: “Magpapatulong sana kami sa inyong magvote dito: https://mtvema.com/en-asia/vote. Unli votes daw tayo everyday! Voting ends Nov 3. Won't be here without you. Let's get this liwanag!”

Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo previously won the said award. Meanwhile, the MTV EMAs 2020 is happening on November 8.
