Oil price hikes set today

Metro Manila, October 18 ------ Motorists are set to shell out more money for fuel this week, with oil companies charging higher starting.

Seaoil, Cleanfuel, Caltex, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines, Petron, Petro Gazz, and Flying V said they would increase the per-liter prices of gasoline and diesel by P0.80 and P2.70, respectively. Seaoil, Caltex, Petron, and Flying V said the price of kerosene would also be raised by P2.90 per liter.

According to the Department of Energy's oil monitor as of Oct. 11, the year-to-date per-liter increases stood at P15.65 for gasoline, P35.80 for diesel, and P26.75 for kerosene.
