Oil firms implement another hefty price rollback


December 13 ------ Oil companies rolled back the prices of petroleum products for the fourth consecutive week.


In separate advisories, firms said they reduced gasoline prices by P1.70 per liter; diesel by P3.40 a liter and kerosene by P4.40 a liter. This week’s adjustment was larger than the previous week. Per liter, the gasoline decreased by P1.95, diesel by P1.90 and kerosene by P1.65. Cumulative adjustments now stand at P13.25 per liter for gasoline, P24.60 per liter for diesel and P19.15 per liter for kerosene as of today.


In the global market, Asian bellwether Dubai crude is trading at almost $74 per barrel while international benchmark Brent crude is around the $76 per barrel level.
