Oil companies to implement price rollback this week

Metro Manila, May 9 ----- Companies on Monday announced decreases in the prices of oil products this week.

Petro Gazz, Sea Oil, Clean Fuel, Jetti, Unioil, Caltex, and PTT Philippines said in separate advisories that starting May 9, their price of gasoline will decline by ₱2.20 per liter, while diesel price will be slashed by ₱2.70 a liter.

Meanwhile, Sea Oil and Caltex said the per liter price of kerosene will also decline by ₱2.55 per liter.

The Department of Energy said in its latest price monitoring that the year-to-date net decrease for diesel was at ₱4.35 per liter and kerosene at ₱4.95 a liter. Gasoline, on the other hand, has a net increase of ₱6.05 a liter.
