No reported casualties in Davao Occidental quake

MANILA, Philippines, June 30 ------ No casualties were reported after a magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck off the coast of Sarangani in Davao Occidental, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake was tectonic in nature and occurred at 7:07 a.m. Its epicenter was located 85 kilometers southeast of Sarangani town.
OCD administrator Ariel Nepomuceno said no one was reported injured, adding that field personnel also reported no damage to roads and infrastructure.
