No more 'The Haunting' seasons, according to 'Bly Manor' creator

January 1 ------ Haunting of Hill House and Haunting of Bly Manor creator Mike Flanagan confirmed that there will be no more The Haunting seasons on Netflix in the future. Flanagan said on Wednesday, December 23 that there are "no plans for more chapters" of the hit horror anthology series, as he and co-executive producer Trevor Macy are "focused on a full slate of other Intrepid projects for 2021 and beyond."

Flanagan's first Netflix project was The Haunting Of Hill House (2018), whose success spurred a second chapter, The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020). The series were inspired by Shirley Jackson's novella of the same name and Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, respectively. Both seasons starred Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, and Carla Gugino, playing different characters in each season.

Flanagan and Macy signed a deal with Netflix and Intrepid Pictures in February 2019 for original content. This includes Flanagan's upcoming Midnight Mass, a 7-episode horror series starring Zach Gilford, Kate Siegel and Hamish Linklater.
