MANILA, October 8 ------ NLEX hit the ground running after the break, demolishing Macau to tally the biggest winning margin in PBA history, 138-78, as the PBA Governors’ Cup resumed action at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

With the 60-point blowout win, the Road Warriors are through to the quarterfinals, and had tightened their grip on the top spot in Group A, improving to 8-2 to edge out the idle San Miguel (7-2), as the Giant Pandas dropped to 2-7. This also marked a triumphant debut for Deonte Burton, who replaced DeQuan Jones after the latter suffered an injury before the Asian Games break.

He had an impressive performance on both ends of the floor after registering 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, to go with 14 rebounds, eight assists, and six steals. Schonny Winston was red-hot on the floor, firing 25 points on 10-of-13 clip, while adding three rebounds.

Robert Bolick added 14 points, four rebounds, and five assists, while Anthony Semerad, Kevin Alas, and Ljay Gonzales chipped in 10 markers each, completing the supporting cast. On the other hand, Oscar Lopez Jr.'s 36-point output was down the drain as the Giant Pandas were handed another lopsided loss.
