Metro Manila, November 8 ------ The Cavite-Laguna Expressway's (CALAX) Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange, which offers a faster route to Silang and Tagaytay City, will open today. According to CALAX's concessionaire MPCALA Holdings Inc. (MHI), the 3.9-kilometer exit will be free of charge until further notice. "Motorists will only be charged up to the Silang East Interchange toll fee, marking a customer-centric approach to travel on CALAX," said MHI in a statement.
The new CALAX subsection is expected to cater to an additional 5,000 daily motorists. In total, the CALAX has eight interchanges: Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang East, Silang (Aguinaldo), Governor's Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit Interchange.
MHI added that "CALAX will eventually connect to the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit, uniting key regions seamlessly."
