Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026 aspirants have until Sept. 28 to send applications

September 7 ------ The search for this year’s Mutya ng Pilipinas candidates is nearing the homestretch, with the deadline for applications scheduled on Sept. 28, while the general screening of applicants will be on Sept. 30.


This year’s national pageant, its 55th edition marking its 58th anniversary, has already released the schedule of events leading to the coronation night on Oct. 14 at the FilOil Eco-Oil Center ni San Juan. The competition is open to cisgender women of Filipino ancestry with at least one parent in the direct line with Filipino citizenship. A certified true copy of either parent’s birth certificate is required to prove ancestry.


The applicant must be 18 to 27 years old, but should not be more than 28 years old on the day of the pageant finals. She should also possess either a high school or college diploma.


Aspiring Mutyas must possess a pleasing personality, a beautiful face and body, and must be physically fit. She should also be single, never have been married, and have never given birth nor been pregnant. Applicants must have a defined personal advocacy and must hold a valid National Police Clearance to verify that she does not have pending or active criminal cases.


They must also have a certificate of good moral character issued by a school, church, or professional organization, and must also obtain a health clearance from a physician for physical and mental fitness. The competition will choose the Philippines’ delegate to the 2026 Miss Intercontinental pageant scheduled in January 2027 in Egypt. The two previous representatives, Alyssa Redondo and Christina Vanhefflin, both received the “Power of Beauty” award and finished as runners-up.


Several other national titles will also be awarded at the 2026 Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant, whose recipients will represent the Philippines in other international competitions.
