MLBB: Team Falcons PH ousts Team Vitality, punches MSC semis berth

July 30 ------ After seeing its title hopes dashed by Team Vitality in the elimination stage, Team Falcons PH turned the tables this time after eliminating its tormentor, 3-1, in the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) quarterfinals in Paris.

Team Falcons, the lone Philippine representative left in the tournament, exacted revenge on the Indonesian champions by avenging its earlier defeat in the elimination round that had sent it to the lower bracket. With the win, Team Falcons eliminated Team Vitality and set up a semifinals date against Myanmar's Yangon Galacticos.

Midlaner Salic "Hadji" Imam showcased his mastery of Selena in the first two games, helping Team Falcons draw first blood before Team Vitality mounted a late Game 2 comeback behind Dylont "Shogun" Huraihira's Barats and Filipino import Eman "EMANN" Sangco's Paquito to level the series. Shogun once again made life difficult for Team Falcons in Game 3 with another Barats pick, unleashing a flicker-Detona's Welcome combination to pick off Team Falcons' jungler Michael "Kyle" Sayson (Fanny) at the 11th minute.

Kyle made up for it by taking a crucial Lord objective before Hadji scattered the Pharsa's Feathered Air Strike that took down Marcel "Moreno" Sinulingga (Eudora) and Emann (Claude). Team Falcons held on to destroy the base and clinch the match point. In a bold move for Game 4, Team Falcons entrusted Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano with a surprise Hanabi pick, though he struggled to find his footing in the gold lane early on. However, Super Marco proved the doubters wrong, spearheading a three-hero wipeout during the first Lord fight before erupting for a late double kill that paved the way for the series-clinching base siege. That marked the first time Hanabi was picked in the MSC 2026.
