October 14 ------ Miss Earth 2025 hopeful Joy Barcoma showcased her passion for environmental protection and community empowerment in her recently released advocacy video.

On her social media pages, Joy unveiled a creative self-interview concept, where she portrayed herself as both 2025 Miss Earth Philippines and a news reporter, emphasizing the importance of disaster resilience, sustainability, and holistic care for both people and the planet. “It’s here! My advocacy video is now live! Grateful for this platform to share what I stand for— a more resilient and compassionate world for all. Let’s continue to bring #JoyToTheEarth 🌏✨,” she wrote in the caption.

In the video, Joy expressed gratitude for the opportunity to use her platform to promote meaningful change, centering her advocacy on disaster resilience. “It’s truly an honor to wear this crown and this responsibility,” she said. “My advocacy focuses on disaster resilience, recognizing that when we protect our communities from climate crisis and risk, we also address poverty and equality. It’s about empowering Filipinos to be prepared, adaptable, and resilient.“

Joy also highlighted her active participation in tree-planting drives and disaster preparedness initiatives, reflecting her commitment to hands-on involvement. Beyond environmental causes, she advocates for a holistic approach to empowerment, working with organizations that promote mental health awareness, youth and gender equality, and education. “I actually work on organizations for mental health awareness, youth and gender empowerment, and also education. I believe that caring for people and caring for the Earth must go hand in hand,” she added.

Concluding her message, Joy called on Filipinos to embrace sustainability as a daily practice. “My hope is to inspire every Filipino to become stewards of our environment. To make a sustainable living not just a choice but also a lifestyle because if each of us does our part, we can live on a thriving, resilient planet for generations to come,” she stated. “May we all continue to love and protect Mother Earth.”
