Meralco rates climb in April

MANILA, April 11 ------ Meralco electricity rates are going up by P0.53/kWh in April.


Meralco said rates are climbing because of a higher generation charge, mainly due to the weakening exchange rate of the peso against the US dollar. This means electricity bills are climbing by the following amounts.

300 kwh P160

400 kwh P213

500 kwh P267
