December 8 ------ Former beauty queen Megan Young shared insights into the current landscape of pageantry, highlighting how fiercely competitive it has become, not just in talent and appearance but also in financial investment.

"If you want to try pageants, make sure it's something you really want to do. Hindi sapilitan. These days, there's a lot of money involved, like you have to buy your own clothes and makeup. If you will produce your own shoots, may bayad na rin yun. Before nag-so-solicit kami ng funds for the pageant itself, for the international pageant. Pero now I see local pageants pa lang todo na talaga. Not compulsory. These days, there's a lot of money involved, like you have to buy your own clothes and makeup. If you produce your own shoots, there is a fee for that, too," said Megan at the launch of her latest endorsement for Sisters Sanitary Napkin and Pantyliners held in Quezon City recently. She added, "Make sure it's something you really want to do. And you have to deal with the right people. You want to make sure you are protected. And that the people will have your best interests, not their interests."

She added, "Make sure it's something you really want to do. And you have to deal with the right people. You want to make sure you are protected. And that the people will have your best interests, not their interests." "Hopefully, we will get the Miss World crown again soon," said Megan, who is now married to actor Mikael Daez. They have a baby boy named Leon.

Asked if she's still updated with the pageant world, Megan said, "Pageant world not so much anymore. I get updates from Instagram and the news — hanggang doon na lang. (That's it.) I hosted Miss World two years ago. "Since I am not up to date with the contestants, one good thing about pageants now is the production and visuals. Ang ganda. Yun nga lang mas malaki ang gastos nun. Back then, we didn't produce that much scale. (It's beautiful. It's just that it costs more. Back then, we didn't produce that much scale)," she added.

Megan also expressed, with heartfelt warmth, that she has wholeheartedly embraced the beauty of motherhood, eagerly welcoming all the profound changes it brings to her life. "I am embracing my stretch marks, the weight gain, how my body acts and looks different and feels," she said. "Si Leon, pinapaliguan namin siya ng mga 5 or 6 p.m. and then we start the night routine para fresh na siya. Once na napatulog namin siya, yun na ang couple time namin ni Mikael. (With Leon, we bathe him around 5 or 6 p.m., and then we start the night routine so he's fresh. Once we get him to sleep, that's our couple time with Mikael.) We sit down and catch up. Sometimes, we watch a show."

Megan said Mikael advised her to take care of herself while caring for their son. "Do the things that you want to do. Go out. Workout. Go shopping if you want."
