Marjorie Barretto, son Leon graduate from college in same year

MANILA, Philippines, August 13 ------ At 51 years old, Marjorie Barretto graduated from the Philippine Women’s University. Marjorie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts, according to an Instagram story posted by Dani, one of her daughters. “You inspire me. Congratulations, Mommy!” Dani wrote.

Her son, Leon, celebrated her achievement, expressing how proud she was of her for finishing college. “My forever inspiration. So proud of you, mom, for finishing college. It’s never too late indeed,” he said in an Instagram story of the former actress walking on stage to receive her diploma. One of her daughters, Claudia, added that Marjorie’s graduation is proof that “it’s never too late to follow your dreams.”

Leon also shared photos on Instagram of him and Marjorie wearing togas and graduation caps, saying, “Not a lot of people can say they graduated college the same year as their mom.”Marjorie’s only son is set to graduate from University of Asia and the Pacific this August.
