Marian Rivera donates P500,000 to Smile Train PH

October 21 ------ Marian Rivera Rivera donated P500,000 to Smile Train Philippines, a non-profit organization that provides free cleft lip and palate surgery to children in need.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on 24 Oras, Marian covered the P500,000 donation that was supposed to be part of the P1 million prize awarded to "Stars on the Floor" winners Dasuri Choi and Rodjun Cruz. Dasuri and Rodjun got the full prize after Marian stepped up with the donation herself for their chosen charity.

The Kapuso Primetime Queen personally gave the P500,000 cheque to the organization and got reunited with the child she helped to get an operation seven years ago. "Ito 'yung isa sa pinakamalapit na charity sa puso ko, 'yung Smile Train talaga. So hangga't kaya. At nakakaproud kasi 11 years na kami together eh," she said.

Marian served as one of the judges of "Stars on the Floor" alongside Pokwang and Coach Jay Roncesvalles. The actress recently graced the runway for a Vietnamese couture brand in a fashion show held in Ho Chi Minh City.
