Marcos looking forward to working with new Japan PM

MANILA, October 23 ------ President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr congratulated Sanae Takaichi for being named Japan's first woman prime minister, saying he looks forward to working with her and boosting Manila and Tokyo’s ties.
In a post on social media, the President said he is anticipating working with her in commemorating the two countries’ 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year. He is also looking forward to cooperating with the Japanese prime minister for the Strengthened Strategic Partnership “for the peace and prosperity of our peoples.” “Her assumption demonstrates Japan’s firm democratic advocacy, and reflects the country’s commitment to progress and representation,” Marcos, Jr. said.
Takaichi pledged Monday to "make Japan's economy stronger and reshape Japan as a country that can be responsible for future generations".
