Marcelito Pomoy performs for Trump at Mar-a-Lago: 'The perfect kick off'

MANILA, January 2 ------ Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy has performed for U.S. President Donald Trump. Pomoy sang for Trump, who hosted a New Year’s Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach.

On his social media post, Pomoy uploaded photos of him with Trump as well as a snap of them together with First Lady Melania Trump. At the event, Pomoy's performances include the classic "The Prayer."

Pomoy rose to fame in his home country of the Philippines after winning the second season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2011, which aired on ABS-CBN. He was first recognized abroad for his “golden female voice” when he appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2018. In 2020, Pomoy joined America's Got Talent: The Champions.
