May 26 ------ Maki, known for his color-coded love songs that have captivated listeners, is back with a new track.

The singer-songwriter released Sunday "habangbuhay pansamantala," alongside its music video that features Justin of P-pop sensation SB19. In a press release, "habangbuhay pansamantala" is described as Maki's "pink song" and an anthem for those stuck in a relationship where they are treated as a second choice or "kept on the backburner."

In an Instagram post, Maki said the song was special to him because it was written "for the soft hearts like me." "'habangbuhay pansamantala' is both longing and surrender, both frustration and acceptance, both strength and weakness," he said. "This may be the most softest and powerful song I've ever written," he added.

To celebrate the single's launch, Maki will hold two special fan events: "Pink Fest" at TriNoma in Quezon City on May 29, and "Pink Room" at Quezon Club, Solaire Resort North on June 5. Apart from this new release, Maki — who recently logged over one billion streams on Spotify — is also gearing up for the Singapore and Indonesia stops of his "Kolorcoaster" tour, scheduled in June. The concert tour takes its name from the singer's 2025 album of the same title, which featured hit songs such as "Namumula," "Dilaw" and "kahel na langit."
