MANILA, July 30 ------ Here's some good news for LPG users: cooking gas prices are expected to go down by August 1. Based on world market prices, LPG prices are down by P2.50/kilo but the final contract price will be out by July 31, 2025.
Regasco president Arnel Ty said international liquefied petroleum gas prices are down due to abundant supply in the world market. Ty estimates the final rollback to hover between P1-P2.50/kilo or P11-P27.50/11kg cylinder.
According to Ty, LPG prices are expected to rise by October to December as many European and Asian countries stockpile for the winter season. Since March, LPG prices have gone down consistently every month, with a total reduction of around P5.20/kilo or more than P50/11kg cylinder.
