December 13 ------ It’s not every day a trailer moves its stars to tears — not while watching, at least. But at the “Love You So Bad” media conference held Monday night at the Dolphy Theater, everything changed when the preview rolled. A moment that started with smiles and nerves ended with voices cracking and eyes glistening from dreams coming full circle.

“Grabe, ganito pala ang pakiramdam na matupad ‘yung pangarap,” said Bianca de Vera, visibly moved after watching the clip. (So this is what it feels like when a dream comes true).

The film — a collaboration between Star Cinema, Regal Entertainment, and GMA Pictures — marks a turning point for Bianca, along with fellow “Pinoy Big Brother: Collab” alumni Will Ashley and David Yu. Under the direction of box office filmmaker Mae Cruz-Alviar from a script by Crystal San Miguel, Maren Kyle Loreno, and Vanessa Valdez, “Love You So Bad” casts the trio in their first major movie roles. “I waited for this moment my whole life, ever since I was a child,” Bianca continued. “I grew up watching Star Cinema movies. And now, to see our own trailer — it’s so rewarding.”

The popular young celebrity took a moment to honor her younger self. “I’m really happy for little Bianca, who once dreamed of this. I’m so proud of her. I already reached a point in my life — and many of you already know this — when I honestly questioned if my dreams were even meant for me. So, to that old version of Bianca: just wait. You’ll get there, too.”

Will echoed the sentiment. “It’s wonderful to see the trailer,” he said. “All the exhaustion, all the sleepless nights, all the stress we went through while shooting this film — it was all worth it. Watching the trailer gave me goosebumps, and I’m just so grateful for all of this.”

As for Dustin, the experience was something he could barely put into words. “I can hardly explain how I feel,” he said, truly overwhelmed. “But one thing is for sure, my heart is so happy right now. All the hard work was worth it, and I honestly can’t wait to watch the film. It’s really beautiful — promise. That’s all I can say.”

Bianca also used the moment to thank those who stayed by her side through doubt and uncertainty. “Thank you to everyone who trusted me since I started this journey,” she expressed. “During the times when I really doubted myself, Star Cinema was there for me. They dreamed with me. They stayed with me through thick and thin. Maraming-maraming salamat po.”

And for audiences wondering what moved the young cast so deeply, the answer lies in the story they helped bring to life. “Love You So Bad” tells the story of Savannah (Bianca), a principled college senior caught between two very different men — the steady and ambitious Vic (Will), and the charming but reckless LA (Dustin). As emotions rise and loyalties shift, she must navigate matters of the heart that challenge what she thought she knew about love, loyalty, and herself.

Joining the trio in the cast are Agot Isidro, Bodjie Pascua, Victor Neri, Xyriel Manabat, Vince Maristela, Reign Parani, Franco Laurel, Ana Abad Santos, Desiree del Valle, Bernard Palanca, Ralph de Leon, Zach Castaneda, Nour Hooshmand, Victor Silayan, and Dimples Romana. “Love You So Bad” opens in cinemas on December 25 as part of the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival.
