Liza Soberano takes Korean language lessons, plans to enter Korean entertainment

September 20 ------ Liza Soberano said that she is currently taking Korean language lessons in preparation to join the Korean entertainment industry.

In a report by PEP.ph, Liza said that she is taking the lessons seriously. "I can speak a little now because I kept coming back too often. I'm doing lessons with their language. I'm really taking it seriously because honestly, I am," she said. "I personally consider Korea to be the next Hollywood or if not already the new Hollywood. They're making so much noise in entertainment. Of course, it's an honor to be part of that, and my only downfall is I can't speak Korean fluently," Liza added. She also shared that she has already met with a lot of production companies, agents, and managers, "and they're having an interest."

However, they advised Liza to contact them again when she can already speak their language. Liza just launched her YouTube travel show "Liza in Korea" through the PHH TV channel. She said that she was introduced to the series' producer, JJ Global, by Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo. "We were introduced to one of their investors and their investor was actually looking for a Filipina celebrity to collaborate," she said. She added that in the series, viewers will not only get a better understanding of Korean culture, "but you'll also see a different side." "Kasi, I met a lot of different people, and you'll get to see a lot of types of entertainment, and you'll get to see an interaction between a Filipina and Korean celebrities of Korean business people," she said.

Last month, Liza opened up about her insecurities and revealed that in 2020, she endured a case of traction alopecia. In February, Liza aired some of her thoughts about working in Philippine showbiz, such as the love team culture in the country. In an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda shortly after, Liza admitted that she never wanted to become an "artista."
