Liana Castillo wins Breakthrough Female Singer of the Year at 2024 Philippines Choice Award

October 30 ------ Sparkle and GMA Music artist Liana Castillo bagged the Breakthrough Female Singer of the Year at the 2024 Philippines Choice Award held at the Manila Hotel. 

Liana took to Instagram to express her gratitude to the award-giving body and her supporters. She also posted a series of snaps of herself while holding her plaque. "Thank you Lord for this another recognition. Thank you sa aking managers Tyronne Escalante, Sir Daryl Zamora, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, and, of course, sa nagbigay ng parangal ngayong gabi Phillipines Choice Award for Breakthrough Female Singer of the Year. Sa aking masipag na handler Ate Aubrey Dela Cruz," Liana wrote.  

On October 4, Liana released her Gen Z rendition of Yasmien Kurdi's classic hit "Umaambisyon" as her second single under GMA Music. The song landed at the fifth spot on the iTunes Philippines chart.
