February 21 ------ Beauty queen Krishnah Gravidez made her customary farewell walk and crowned her successor, Asia Rose Simpson. She had a successful campaign in the 2025 edition of Miss World in India, with a Top 8 finish and the Miss World Asia title. Although she had relinquished the Miss World Philippines crown, Krishnah wears the continental queen title and continues to carry out the duties that come with it.

During the press presentation and sashing of the Miss World Philippines 2026 candidates, The STAR and an online source for showbiz news had a chat with her. “My life has changed,” said Krishnah of her journey from a beauty aspirant to a beauty queen, “because, of course, there were a lot of opportunities and new doors for me, in terms of my music career, in terms of opportunities in the entertainment industry. Ang daming nangyari, and I’ve really grown as a person.”

Apart from that, she added that the Miss World Philippines and Miss World platforms, with the beauty with a purpose initiative, have provided her with chances to get more involved in different charity works, such as one focusing on animal welfare. “It has been my advocacy ever since I was a kid,” she said. “I was raised in a household (where) all of us (have) rescued dogs, cats, pets, and animals. I think it has shaped me into being an animal welfare advocate, but other than that, I also started my advocacy and my platform, Color the World with Kindness, which focuses on children’s welfare.”

In Baguio City, the place she represented in the national pageant, they have helped about seven child development centers. “So, what we did was we helped them renovate the facilities because, you know, all children must be given a space where they can freely and comfortably learn and play because those are the crucial stages of, you know, their character development. So, we focus on community building in Baguio City, and hopefully, we do that nationwide, you know, even after Miss World and even after I turn over the crown. So, I’m really looking forward to those different kinds of activities and aspects of my life,” said she.

So far, Miss World Philippines Organization national director Arnold Vegafria has also been giving her opportunities to explore the entertainment industry, such as hosting various pageants and events. Krishnah is looking forward to further learning the ropes and finding her foothold in them. She said that she would love to explore more of the music industry. “Right now, I am trying to write songs, and hopefully, they will be released this year,” she shared, who plans to launch her cosmetic business and hopes to expand her Color the World with Kindness.

Since Asia Rose has started her reign as Miss World Philippines 2026, Krishnah said this to share with the new queen, particularly about handling pressures like representing the country in Miss World, achieving her predecessor’s same feat, and winning the second blue crown. Megan Young is the first Pinay Miss World. “Yung dala, dala mo pa lang yung sash ng Philippines, may pressure na agad yun,” said she. “I would say all of us have different journeys and different strengths.”

“So, I think we just need to focus on those strengths and use those as, you know, our edge going towards the international competition, kasi magkakaiba kami ng destiny, eh,” she added. “So, I think it’s a good thing to see, you know, our predecessors and their strengths as well, how they navigated their way towards their success. So, yun siguro will take (it as) an inspiration, to use that as a motivation, you know, in competing internationally.”
